Frasier GPT is a small hobby project for browsing Frasier episode transcripts and cutting gifs from them. This page says exactly what it stores about you, which is not much.
What is stored
Nothing, until you sign in. Browsing transcripts, running searches and cutting gifs all work without an account, and none of it is recorded against anyone.
When you sign in with GitHub, Google or Facebook, the app stores three things:
- The name, email address and avatar image URL that provider gives it.
- The OAuth tokens that provider issues — access, refresh and id tokens, with their scope and expiry. These are what prove the sign in was real.
- A session record for each browser you sign in from: a random token and the date it expires.
If you save a gif, that is stored too: the gif file itself, and a row recording which line of dialogue it was cut from, how it was trimmed and captioned, and when you saved it. Saved gifs are only ever served back to the account that saved them, and deleting one deletes the file as well as the row. Gifs you cut without saving are not recorded against anyone.
That is the complete list. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising and no third-party script on any page of this site. The searches you run are not tied to your account.
What it is used for
Signing you in, and keeping you signed in. That is the only purpose. Your email address is not used to send you anything — there is no mailing list — and nothing is sold, rented or shared for advertising.
Cookies and local storage
- Sign-in cookies (session, CSRF and callback), set by Auth.js. They are what makes a browser a signed-in browser; sign-in cannot work without them.
- A
themeentry in your browser’s local storage, remembering whether you chose light or dark. It never leaves your browser.
No advertising or tracking cookies are set.
Who else sees it
Whichever provider you sign in with sees that you signed in — that is inherent in using them, and their own privacy policies cover what they then do. Nothing is passed on to anyone else.
How long it is kept
Your account is kept until you delete it. Sessions expire on their own after 30 days of not being used, and an expired session is removed from the database the next time it is looked at.
Deleting your data
You can erase everything above at any time, yourself and immediately, from the delete your data page. It removes your profile, every linked provider account, every session and every gif you saved — files included — permanently. There is no backup copy to restore from and no grace period.
If you would rather not sign in to do it, email [email protected] from the address on the account and it will be done for you.
